Representing Alamosa County as a member of Alamosa 911 and the current 911 group organized under the six county intergovernmental agreement in 1995. I am a lifelong valley resident and retired school teacher and school administrator of the Sangre de Cristo Schools.

I have had the privilege of enjoying the many rewards of living and working in the San Luis Valley and watching the local 911 Group develop a program and help administrate a program that puts rural Colorado on a path of control that is an example of what can be accomplished through hard work, cooperation and dedication to a common goal.

Gene Crawford

Treasurer San Luis Valley E911

I Gene Crawford have served on the 911 Board since April of 1995. I was appointed by the Saguache County Commissioners as one of the representatives for the county. Upon selecting Officers I was voted in as Treasurer and have continued in that office. I serve on the Center Fire Protection District Board. It is an elected position.

Previously, I was a volunteer fireman and had an EMT certification. Later I served as Fire Chief. I retired from the Fire and Ambulance activity after 25 years of service.

I also served on the Center Town Board as a Councilman and later as Mayor.
